Diffuse with you wherever you go!

I’m loving my new pendant and wanted to share how we can have a diffuser on the go and stay in fashion at the same time!  The cotton disc comes in all sorts of color to match any outfit.  The two oils I use the most is Elevation to help increase my energy throughout the work day or Balance to help ease my anxiety.

How it works – apply 1 – 3 drops of any essential oils to a cotton disc and place in the locket.  You may layer the oil or wait until the scent is gone to use a different oil on the same cotton.

The Beard Oil Blend

BO

The Beard Oil – is my new recent oil blend.  I used my husband as a test subject and last week I made one for his co-worker. After doing some research on what essential oils I should use (and what they can do for the beard) – I used Jojoba carrier oil, Rosemary and Cederwood.  Keep in mind, that each oil has it’s own unique qualities and what might be great for someone, might not be for the next guy….. so please read on!

Carrier Oils for Beard Oil

Carrier oils are the most important part of any oil blend and it’s used to dilute since pure essential oils are potent and highly concentrated.  Fractionated coconut oil, grapeseed oil, almond oil, Jojoba oil (and more) can be used as a carrier oil.  For this blend, I decided to use Jojoba oil since it’s widely known to strengthen your skin and hair.

Jojoba

Jojoba oil (pronounced ho-ho-ba) has vitamins A, D, and E and since it matches your own natural oils, it is absorbed by your face and beard. Jojoba oil is an emollient, which means it moisturizes your skin and prevents irritation, scaly or rough patches – great for any beard!

Rosemary

Rosemary essential oil is great to stimulate hair follicles making hair grow longer and stronger. It is also believed that Rosemary slows premature hair loss and gray hair.   It may also improve memory, mental fatigue and forgetfulness.

Cedarwood

Cedarwood essential oil can stimulate the hair follicles and increase circulation, it has the greatest concentration of Sesquiterpenes, which is a terpene that actually helps release toxins from the body. It can help reduce dry or flaky scalp. It’s been used as a mosquito and insect repellent. In aromatherapy, cedarwood is said to have a calming effect and a great woodsy smell!

Peppermint

Peppermint essential oil gives the beard a nice cooling sensation.  It has an antiseptic, regenerative, and stimulating effects which can relieve the skin from irritation and dry skin.  It can stimulate hair growth and give your hair a nice shine.
